DMCA trouble... Pirates, aren't we all?

Take-down notifications my ass! I'm sick of it! You know, people through blogs sharing their passions, expressing their feelings and why not, educate in a way some others who didn't have the luck or the opportunity to catch a piece of culture. But i know, who gives a fuck, right? "Show me the money"! And Google gives you the rights to express your thoughts but with barriers... How ICE-T have said it? "Freedom of Speech...just watch what you say..." I'm not going to stop this blog even though day by day i become less interested on doing this. And I'm no fuckin' criminal! I never consider myself a thief. I never put an advertise in this space and i never being interested on donations. I spit on the last one. Bloggers that receive donations, are moochers and nothing else. I'm SO out of my mind this moment! So, if you wanna see me as a criminal, well here i am - I'm going to accomplish my boyish dreams and act as a Pirate! Pam pam, pam pam! But I'm not going to delete this blog. You have to do it! Get it? You!
Learn to share motherfuckers!

  2. Is i said in my manifesto (sorry, it's in Spanish): If file sharing is killing record INDUSTRY... keep doing it! Without the record INDUSTRY, the music will be free. My regards and my sympathies, bro. Hang it there!

  5. I never understood how record companies, or whoever holds the rights to the music, expects to make dime anyway when the material is either out of print or was never even reissued on CD in the first place. If they can show me a way that they're losing money from you posting an ancient vinyl-only 45, I will gladly not download anything ever again. Keep it up man.

  6. I love your blog as well and would be sad to see you decide to pack it in. But I wouldn't blame you if you did. I just said my goodbyes on my own blog "Time On My Hands" as I discovered that almost all of my files from the last year had been deleted by Multiupload.

  7. Of all the music I have bought in the past two or so years (and it's a fair amount), it's because I discovered this stuff on blogs like yours. I never would have heard of this stuff otherwise.

  8. I wonder if it's really about "learning to share" some obscure / roots / historically unavailable tunes... or more a case of wanting to force us to listen to tripe/crap designed to wrap up advertising for their crap/tripe products, (keeping in mind that everything is owned by 6 or 7 mega-corps nowadays). Look what they did to NPR this week for a good example...

    Hang Tough Mano!

    Peace

While I don't have a problem downloading live concerts and out of print LP's, I believe all you bootleggers do a disservice to the artist when you offer albums that are still in print and ready available online and in what few "record" stores that still exist.

These people are in the business to make money, as their income drops, they'll stop recording.

"Freedom of Speech" does not include freely distributing someone else's recorded music.

  11. Like the other posters above me, I love yr blog and especially appreciate the passion and insight in yr posts....you consistantly straddle the fine, fine line between informative and energetic, which is tough to do in a genre where everybody's heard everything a thousand times before. Your blog has made me pick up some interesting and unusual stuff that I'd usually skip right over, and that (I think?) is prolly the whole idea.

So: keep up the good work, keep fighting the brave fight, and keep posting things that we won't get anywhere else!

  12. Thanks a LOT guys for stopping by here and telling your thoughts! It doesn't matter if you agree with me or not, but it does matter that you like to talk about serious things like an organization that's tailor-made for putting a zip in our mouths. Cause if record business people were smart, they should let all bloggers 'round the world to do the free advertise for them... But they're NOT! There are MANY statistic reports from all over the globe that saying the obvious... People who buying records are people who download them. Anyway, as i said I'm not going to delete this blog. They have to do it. I may slow down the posts a little cause I'm waiting for my new son's birth in a few days and as you might guess it's a little difficult to have two little screamers at the same time in your house, working 12 hours per day and keeping up at the same time a decent blog posting rhythm... Thanks for supporting me in any way...anyway!
